Pizza on the rails

Join us for an exciting family friendly event, Pizza on the Rails on board one of our historic open window passenger cars. Each passenger will enjoy their own personal pizza from Domino’s as well as drinks and dessert! Passengers can choose from a Cheese, Pepperoni or Sausage hand-tossed pizza. Drink options will include a variety of sodas, tea, and water and cookies will be served for dessert.
This approximately hour and a half train excursion will depart from the Nelson’s Crossing Depot at 5:30pm.

Are reservations required?
Reservations are required for Pizza on the Rails.
Is this train handicap accessible?
Yes, the coaches are handicap accessible. Please email tickets@mrym.org to request handicap seating.
Are we allowed off the train during the trip?
Yes. The train will make a stop at the Wabash depot in Monticello.
Are restrooms available on the train?
It is recommended that you use the depot restrooms prior to your trip. Restrooms are also available at the Wabash depot.
Are the cars air conditioned or heated?
The cars on this train have adjustable open-air windows, which means the windows can be raised or lowered by passengers to allow air flow.
Is seating assigned?
No, passengers may choose their own seats.
What if inclement weather is predicted?
Pizza on the Rails will operate rain or shine.
Will my tickets be mailed?
No. Tickets can be picked up at the Nelson Crossing depot ticket office 1 hour prior to your scheduled departure.
How long is the train ride?
Pizza on the Rails will be approximately 1.5 hours in length.
What will pull the train?
One of our historic diesel locomotives will pull the train.
