Monticello Railway Museum

School Days

Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 13, 2015

School Days is an opportunity for school children to ride a full-sized diesel powered train and see displays of America's railroad heritage. Students will take a round-trip train ride on vintage coaches for approximately 30 minutes. You can see an optional Operation Lifesaver presentation as well as tour railway cars which may include post office car, sleeping cars, and caboose.

Please allow approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours to ride the train and view the exhibits. Since many school field trips require parents to pay admission costs, teachers are advised that no student should be excluded because of inability to pay the cost of admission. To make your visit more enjoyable, we are limiting the number of passengers per train. Please make your reservations early.
